Sport, Music and the Arts

Our co-curricular programmes give all our students an opportunity to participate in activities that build their self-confidence.

Performance Opportunities

There are many performance opportunities for dancers, costumiers, choreographers, theming, production, lighting and set designers. Showquest and our senior dramatic play provide additional opportunities for students.

Polyfest

Ngā Taiohi o Panuku and our Samoan Group represent our school with pride each year at Polyfest, the Auckland Secondary Schools cultural festival. Polyfest, for some students at our kura is their first engagement with Te Ao Māori or the Samoan culture and is always a valuable experience. The effort and dedication of our Polyfest students is consistently an immense source of pride for the school.

Music

In Music, there are options for classical and modern instrumentalists with our school orchestra. Our choir grows from strength to strength and musical performances, Rock Quest, and Stand Up, Stand Out further enrich the curriculum. There are also opportunities for specialist voice and music lessons which offer tuition in a variety of instruments.

Public Speaking

Debating opportunities are available and students have access to business pitch mentoring through our Social Science Curriculum.

Sports

Our Sports programme makes use of the excellent facilities we enjoy on-campus, including an artificial hockey turf, astroturf tennis courts and swimming pool on-site.  There are opportunities available at varying levels in a wide range of sports. Students also have the opportunity to develop coaching pathways.
