Huge congratulations to Logan, James and Sofia for their outstanding success in the Auckland Schools Debating tournament. After six intensive debates, the team was selected for the octo final, then moved up the ranks under increasing pressure against a number of prestigious competitors. Having performed consistently well and honing their already excellent speaking skills along the way, the team finished triumphantly by winning the Advanced Open final against St Kentigern College.
This extraordinary achievement is due to the team’s commitment, critical thinking and ability to articulate impressive and cohesive arguments under pressure. They received high praise from the adjudicators and hope to support future HHS debaters in future years. Well done, team – no debate here!!!
