From the Principal

Kia ora Parents, Caregivers and Students

It is an absolute privilege to be appointed as the Principal of Henderson High School. This school is a community where manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, kotahitanga, kaitiakitanga, academic excellence, cultural perspective and Te Ao Māori are valued and celebrated. It is for these reasons that I have developed an affinity for the school, staff, students and community.

I am focussed on building on the foundation of Panuku (Henderson High School) so all of us, with our different belief systems, ethnicities and nationalities, can work together to empower our young people with the knowledge to succeed and change their world for the better.

We will continue to focus on enhancing our research and science-based approach to teaching and learning, including a behaviour curriculum, that sits alongside our values – Te Tūāpapa o Panuku.

We will continue to focus on preparing students for tertiary studies and vocational pathways, while providing them with a well-rounded high school experience that includes cultural, academic, multi disciplinary and sporting extracurricular activities.

As tumuaki, it is my responsibility to model our values, champion our pedagogy and lead us to our shared vision.

No reira, tena koutou, tena koutou, tena koutou katoa

Ngā mihi nui
