He Ngākau mōhio ki te tū Rangatira! Ngā Taiohi o Panuku, our schools kapa haka, have been training for the past ten weeks to compete at Polyfest. Last week our division was postponed due to severe weather warnings which meant we had to wait another week.
We are extremely grateful to Ngā Puna o Waiōrea for hosting and doing their absolute best to pull off what was such an amazing day! Our kaupapa has always been to build good, honest and kind people, who do what is right, even when no one is looking. The placings are always a bonus!
Mōteatea placed first overall
Mita o te reo – Poi placed third
Haka placed third
Mita o te reo placed first
Mita o te reo – Whakawātea placed first equal
Manukura Wahine placed first equal
Huge congrats to Savanna who placed third equal for Kākahu Wahine and Māhaki who placed third equal for Manukura Tāne. We hope everyone has a good rest and we look forward to our next journey.
E mihi ana ki ngā kaiako o te kapa – Rerekohu August, Peri Whitefield, Elisabeth Samuel, Joachim Tuhura, Aaliyah Henry and Allanah Williams. Thank you for all your mahi.
