Students and staff are maximising their use of our new “heart of the school” space. This development was made possible due to the generous bequest of a former student – a graduate from the class of 1959!
Construction included works from below ground including rainwater storage for garden maintenance, a performance-ready stage and a bespoke canopy. The paving which traverses the ground includes designs which represent the Māori legend of how Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) became a land of volcanoes and hills and also Wai o Panuku (the Opanuku River).
We are enormously grateful for this work and thrilled to see how much students are enjoying using it!
