Covid 19 Update – Year 11 to 13 return

21 October 2021

Kia ora caregivers and whānau,

I am very happy to confirm that students in Year 11, 12 and 13 will be welcomed back to school next Tuesday 26th October.

Online learning continues for Year 9 and Year 10 students until further notice.

This is fantastic news as it gives us the opportunity to support our NCEA candidates to shore up their learning and gain as many credits as possible in the exams or through internal assessment. Whether students have worked hard over lockdown or found it difficult to engage online, it is very important that all senior students return to school now that we are able to open.

I remind you that your younger children can attend school or ECE once Year 11 – 13 students start attending again.

In the next two days information will be emailed out to explain the processes and expectations required to ensure students and staff are kept safe and healthy. We will follow all Ministry of Health guidelines and precautions, which will ensure a very low risk environment for everyone.

In the meantime, enjoy your last few days with your older teenagers as they ready themselves for school!

Ngā mihi nui,

Ros Robertson
