Our Maths Masters from Year 9 and 10 are doing a fantastic job representing Henderson High School in both the local and international arenas.
Maths teacher Ms Durkin took two teams to the massive annual Mathex event in Kohimaramara recently. Ms Durkin says “speed and accuracy are key in this fast paced event and our students put on an impressive performance”.
Performance was also exceptional in the Australian Mathematics Competition where students received Distinction and Credit Awards. Only the very keenest Mathematics students enter the Australian Mathematics Competition and our students who received Distinction awards finished in the best 5 – 7% of these top Mathematicians.
Well done to all our Australian Mathematics competitors and a big congratulations to Ayman, Darland, Shyla, Teh-jah and Trinity who received the Distinction Awards!
