On Thursday 3 December the Henderson High School Softball teams went to Rosedale Park to compete in a One Day Softball Tournament. Our girls team won against Kelston Girls and Auckland Girls, drew with Westlake girls and just got pipped at the post by Otahuhu College. The girls played Westlake Girls in the third place play off and won.
Maioha Rountree and Joachim Tuhura from the Junior Boy’s team pitched well, making it difficult for the opposing teams to develop any offensive momentum. Zac Bagnall was the standout batter with a handful of home-runs. Everyone in the team made a great contribution throughout the day which helped them win all five of their games in a convincing fashion.
Congratulations boys for finishing the day in first place and well done ladies on finishing third!
